The bank concluded the third quarter with a pre-tax profit of 3.6 billion dollars and a net profit of 2.7 billion dollars, according to figures released on Wednesday. The pre-tax profit stood 27 percent higher compared to the prior-year result. Revenue expanded by 5 percent to reach 13.35 billion dollars, while on an underlying basis, revenue came in 10 percent higher at 13.39 billion dollars. Within the core business division, the increase registered at 3 percent relative to the same period in the previous year.
In Global Wealth Management, underlying revenue climbed to 6.89 billion dollars, marking an 8 percent increase compared to the prior-year period. This performance was driven primarily by a rise in recurring success from the service business, which grew by 9 percent, and net interest income, which increased by 8 percent. The Investment Bank achieved an underlying record-high revenue in the third quarter, fueled largely by improvements in Global Markets results to 2.55 billion dollars, representing a 17 percent gain.
Assets under management stood at 7.3 trillion dollars. Global Wealth Management recorded net asset inflows of 55.1 billion dollars in the third quarter, corresponding to an annualized growth rate of 4.5 percent. These funds originated from all geographic regions, with particular contributions from the APAC and Americas markets.
The Swiss business, operating under the designation Personal and Corporate Banking, generated a pre-tax profit of 915 million Swiss francs, marking the strongest result observed over the past seven quarters. On an underlying basis, the profit reached 813 million Swiss francs. Total revenue rose by 65 million Swiss francs to 1.93 billion Swiss francs, supported by success in the service business alongside savings generated through the ongoing integration process.
The migration of Credit Suisse into the bank is on track to be substantially finalized by the end of the year, per information published on Wednesday. As of September 30, nearly all legacy IT applications slated for decommissioning were no longer in active use, and approximately 90 percent of those systems had been completely taken out of service.
Financially, the integration process yielded further gross savings of 0.6 billion dollars during the third quarter, bringing total gross savings to 13.2 billion dollars. The bank stated it anticipates surpassing its original target of 13.5 billion dollars by year-end, raising its aggregate gross cost-savings projection to 13.7 billion dollars.
The institution set aside additional provisions during the third quarter intended for a dividend increase in the mid-teens percentage range and repurchased shares totaling 1.8 billion dollars. The broader 3 billion dollar repurchase program is scheduled for completion by the reporting date for fourth-quarter results. In February 2027, the bank plans to disclose its ambitions regarding capital returns and distributions for 2027 alongside the fourth-quarter and full-year financial results.
For the fourth quarter, the bank anticipates a seasonally driven softening in transaction volumes compared to the preceding quarter. In Global Markets, comparisons with the previous year could face headwinds from the robust fourth-quarter result recorded in 2025.
