You can read Helvetic Markets without an account. We carry no advertising, we use no tracking or advertising cookies, and we do not build profiles of our readers.

To deliver the site and keep it secure, our hosting and security provider, Cloudflare, processes technical data from each request: your IP address, browser and device type, the page requested (including any search terms you enter), the referring page and the time of the request. We use this data only to deliver the site, protect it against abuse and fix errors. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in operating a secure website.

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits and measure site performance in aggregate (for example, pages viewed, referring sites, country and loading speed). It does not use cookies, does not identify you and does not track you across other websites.

If you write to one of our addresses, we receive your name, your email address and the content of your message. Messages are forwarded by Cloudflare Email Routing to a mailbox hosted by Google. We use them only to reply and to handle your request, and we delete them when they are no longer needed, generally within 24 months, unless the law requires us to keep them longer.

We work with service providers who process data on our behalf and under our instructions: Cloudflare (hosting, content delivery, security, audience measurement and email routing), Supabase (database hosting in Zurich, Switzerland, for the site's content) and Google (email). We do not sell personal data and do not share it for marketing.

Our service providers, Cloudflare and Google, may process data outside Switzerland and the European Economic Area, including in the United States, and we manage the site from Brazil. Where a country does not offer an adequate level of data protection, we rely on recognised safeguards, such as the Swiss-U.S. and EU-U.S. Data Privacy Frameworks or standard contractual clauses.

Under the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection, the EU General Data Protection Regulation and the Brazilian General Data Protection Law (LGPD), where they apply, you can ask us for access to your personal data, and for its correction or deletion. You can also object to or ask us to restrict its processing, and ask to receive your data in a portable format. Write to privacy@helveticmarkets.com. We reply within 30 days.

You can also lodge a complaint with a data protection authority: in Switzerland, the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC); in the EU, the authority in your country of residence. In Brazil, you can contact the National Data Protection Authority (ANPD).
