Temenos increased its revenue from bank software sales in the third quarter compared to the previous year, surpassing market expectations for profit, the company announced on Tuesday evening.
Between July and September 2026, revenue reached 292.8 million US dollars, marking a 13 percent increase from the same period last year. Critical software license revenue rose by 23 percent to 121.8 million dollars. Adjusted operating profit (EBIT) grew by 29 percent to 109.3 million dollars, exceeding the 99.9 million dollars anticipated by analysts. The corresponding margin widened to 37.3 percent from 32.7 percent a year earlier. Earnings per share came in at 1.23 dollars, representing a 32 percent increase. Adjusted figures exclude expenses such as stock-based compensation programs.
While confirming its medium-term targets through 2028, the Geneva-based company partially raised its full-year guidance for 2026. Temenos now expects EBIT growth of around 12 percent at constant currencies, up from a previous projection of around 9 percent. For earnings per share, the company anticipates reported growth of around 10 percent, compared to about 7 percent previously. Software license revenue, including subscriptions and SaaS, is still projected to increase by around 9 percent at constant currencies in 2026. Over the medium term, EBIT is targeted to reach approximately 480 million dollars, with free cash flow expected at around 410 million dollars.
The integration of Additiv is progressing well, the company stated, noting that the acquisition is not expected to impact the 2026 EBIT and EPS forecasts. The takeover of the Zurich-based fintech, announced in early June, was completed in mid-July. Additiv provides software for banks and asset managers to develop and manage wealth management offerings.
