Corrections Policy
How Helvetic Markets handles errors, updates and clarifications.
Our approach
Helvetic Markets corrects errors quickly and openly. How we do it depends on the nature of the mistake.
Substantive corrections
When we change a fact, figure, name, attribution or the direction of a market move, we add a dated note to the end of the article explaining what changed. We do not silently rewrite the substance of a published article.
Minor errors
Spelling, grammar and formatting mistakes that do not change the meaning of a story are corrected without a note.
Translations
If an error affects the English original, we correct the German and French versions as well.
Withdrawn articles
If an article has to be withdrawn, for example because it was based on a source that turned out to be wrong, we replace it with a short note explaining why, rather than leaving an unexplained dead link. We may remove an article entirely where the law requires it.
Reporting an error
Email corrections@helveticmarkets.com with the article link, the passage in question and, if possible, a source that shows the correct information. We review every report.
